About Me
I’ve been passionate about photography since I was a teenager. Like many, it started with landscapes and still life, but it wasn’t until I discovered off-camera strobes that I truly fell in love with the craft.
While studying graphic design, I had a photography professor, Johnathan Sugarman, and a fellow student, Emilio Ciccarelli, who pushed me beyond hobbyist photography. The photography class was quite fundamental but we often stayed after class, discussing more advanced techniques, especially around lighting. That’s where my skills really took off, and by the time I graduated, I had not only a design portfolio but a deeper passion for photography.
Before graduating I won the RGD McMillan Award for my rebrand of Frontenac Cycle, and while I tried balancing both design and photography post graduation, I eventually shifted my focus entirely to photography. I found my sweet spot in commercial photography, where I get to collaborate with designers and art directors to elevate their visuals.
I’ve had the pleasure of working with brands like Spearhead Brewing and Whitby Watch Co., helping them shape their visual identity and create eye-catching content to support their growth. It’s been incredible staying connected to the industry I love, while focusing on the part that excites me most.
Photography should be fun, right?
Even though I take my work very seriously, I’m not the type to take myself too seriously. I love what I do and I love it even more when I get to have fun doing it. I try my best to keep a light vibe when shooting, whether it’s just me and a model or a set full of collaborating creatives. If we can’t share some laughs and enjoy ourselves then we might be in the wrong business.
